The 15th annual Maui Film Festival is well underway, with tonight being the midpoint of the star-studded event. Actresses Lupita Nyong’o, Emma Roberts and Evan Rachel Wood are among others the on the festival’s high-profile attendance list.
The event began on Wednesday, June 4 with fundraisers, panels, receptions and more. It will come to a close this Sunday, June 8 with exciting entertainment and parties that make the festival one to remember. Throughout the long weekend, viewers have the opportunity to see 35 features and 18 short films.
We especially love this festival because it boasts several outdoor venues, with the beautiful Hawaiian scenery as a backdrop. Celestial Cinema, Seaside Cinema and Toes-in-the-Sand Cinema are all showing films outdoor on giant movie screens. With the past success of outdoor screenings, Seaside Cinema was added for 2014.
We think their event would be an even bigger hit with inflatable movie screens! If you remember from one of our previous posts, AIRSCREEN outdoor movie screens provide a significant advantage to screens fixed on truss or pole frames. Especially when on a tropical island with a nice breeze, it is important to use a durable screen that can withstand adverse weather conditions, so you don’t injure an audience member or employee. We use our AIRSCREEN’s on gusty beaches and peninsulas, as well as on top of the water. To learn about how an AIRSCREEN can ensure safety and durability for you next event, contact us today.
