In a short and fast three months, summer has come and gone. Pools have closed. School went back into session and fall weather is hopefully around the corner. As for DTA Global, we are just now able to check our emails and catch our breaths from the summer shows. MAYBE even take a day-off to catch up on the movies on our DVR, but lets not get ahead of ourselves.
With over 50 screenings in roughly 84 days, we have shown quite a summer line-up. Outdoor screenings happened everywhere in the DC Metro Area, New York, Wisconsin, and Michigan to name a few. We traveled to our annual shows at Traverse City Film Festival and EAA AIRVENTURE Oshkosh. We stayed local to the DC Metro area and showed movies in DuPont Circle, Union Market, Carter Barron, Montgomery County Board of Education, Alexandria, Fairfax, Wheaton.
We showed movies on 100 ft inflatable screens, projected onto the side of city buildings, hosted a retro drive-in movie theater experience. We survived the heat of summer, the storms of summer, and even took a photo that made the local news!
With our 17th summer of shows in the rearview mirror, here is a recap of what we saw and what you saw this summer. And some of our favorite throwback flicks of the season too!
